Dr. Kayanne McDermott (BA, ND.) was born in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology at C.W. Post of Long Island University in Greenvale, NY  and her Doctoral Degree in naturopathic medicine at University of Bridgeport, College of Naturopathic Medicine in Bridgeport, CT.

During her clinical experience at the University of Bridgeport, College of Naturopathic Medicine, she has completed rotations including: Oncology, Endocrinology, Personalized Medicine, Physical Medicine, Outreach Drug Rehabilitation, Homeopathy and Functional Medicine.

 

Born and raised in a culture that embodied, appreciated and utilized the healing power of nature, she knew her purpose was to be involved in the art of natural healing. This enhanced her desire and passion in attaining balance in the whole person by addressing the underlying cause of the "dis-ease". Given her Caribbean culture, Dr.McDermott likes to infuse her style with herbs, home remedies and simple lifestyle modifications into her consultations.
